What is Botox?

Botox is a medication that is injected to paralyze the movement of the muscle in which it is placed. Aesthetic neurotoxins such as Botox can help temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe lines in certain areas of the face such as moderate to severe forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet in adults.

How long does a Botox treatment last?

Each treatment is intended to last 3 -4 months, some even longer. Often after a year of consistent treatments patients find they need a botox treatment less often. 

Will Botox erase my set in wrinkles?

Botox does not erase wrinkles, but it stops the movement that creates the wrinkle. Over time and with great skin care and complimentary treatments the fine lines and wrinkles can be reversed.

What is an Injectable Dermal Filler?

Injectable dermal fillers are approved treatments that temporarily add volume to certain areas of the face, including the cheeks, lips, or nasolabial folds. These Hyaluronic Acid based products are made in different strengths and consistencies dependent on the area it is intended for use. Your injector can use Dermal Fillers to provide skin structural support, to replace lost volume, and to enhance facial balancing.

Will filler make me look fake or unnatural?

Dermal filler is expertly chosen by our Nurse Practitioner and precisely placed to restore your natural volume loss which can help to reverse the signs of aging. Some fillers can provide volume and strength while others provide flexibility and hydration. We will do a thorough consult to determine the right product and placement for you. At Beckerman Women’s Health we believe only in the most natural and balanced results. 

How long do filler results last?

Filler results range in duration based on the product used and the area placed. Typical results can last anywhere from 12-24 months. 

What is Skinvivie?

Skinvive is an injectable hyaluronic acid that is intended to give your complexion a glass like finish and glow. The product is injected superficially to increase hydration in the skin of the face and neck. 

How long will Skinvive results last?

A single treatment with Skinvive is intended to last approximately 6 months.
